Sponsors Invigorate Projection Summit Presentations

May 11, 2006 - Companies take on an industry leadership role when they sponsor the Projection Summit, scheduled for June 5-6 in Orlando, Florida. This year SCRAM Technologies, Pixelworks, Gennum, Silicon Optix, and Zeiss and Jabil (in their new Joint Venture company, Sypro Optics) have stepped up to the plate with leadership and an important set of perspectives for the display industry.

For example, Pixelworks and Gennum will co-lead Tuesday morning's Image Processing session. David Vrhovnik of Gennum will speak on "Opportunities for Electronics and Higher Resolution Displays." Mike Callahan of Pixelworks will discuss "Electronics Requirements for New Projector Opportunities." The Image Processing Session promises some excitement as it is followed by a discussion/debate between Pixelworks and Gennum, with the opportunity for challenging questions from the audience.

Sypro Optics is the new joint venture between Zeiss and Jabil. The Projection Summit marks the launch of their joint venture in the projection supply chain. Their presentation which kicks off Monday's Projection Design session will tell you all about this major initiative by two industry leaders.

Silicon Optix, presenting in the "LCD/Plasma/Projection - Capabilities and Competition" session, will discuss opportunities for increasing the competitiveness of rear-projection TVs by allowing silicon to absorb some of the functionality of optics - a message the company has been preaching for several years but which is now ready to reach the market.

Top industry brands such as TI, Sony, Samsung, Panasonic, Philips and Mitsubishi Electric will also be presenting at the Summit. Learn about:

  • The Latest in Illumination - Lamps, Lasers and LEDs
  • New Projection Market Opportunities
  • Changing Channels of Distribution
  • And much more!

You will also get to see some of the new technology on display in the small exhibition area. There's still time to reserve booth space. Companies can exhibit in the reception/break/lunch area of Projection Summit for $1,000, and exhibitors receive a 20% registration discount. Exhibit space is first come, first served, so reserve now. Projection Summit is unique in providing a friendly and relaxed atmosphere to enjoy the booths by co-locating them in the lunch/reception room.

Projection Summit also features panel discussions at the end of most sessions and this promises a very lively experience!
