Display Sales Channels are Changing - Where are the
Opportunities and Threats?
Find out at the Projection Summit
May 04, 2006 - The display industry is evolving so rapidly it is starting to resemble the PC industry of a decade ago. But not everything is about specs and price as installation, design, bundling of other products and services, and maintenance are key elements in many AV applications. What is changing is the mix of the products and services and who will deliver them. New sales and service channels are challenging the traditional ProAV providers, so what are the survival strategies? How can your company prosper in this dynamic changing environment?
One of the best ways to find out is by attending the Projection Summit, June 5-6, Orlando, Florida. The event will feature a session called "Changing Channels" on Tuesday afternoon where industry leaders and analysts will present their views on the evolving battle for market share between the key channels - Big Box retailers, web retailers, ProAV dealers, home install companies and crossover channels like Office Depot. This is an opportunity for attendees to hear from leaders in this segment and to engage with them in a robust discussion via a panel debate.
The "Changing Channels" session features presentations by key industry leaders Kevin Collins of HB Communications representing the crossover channel, Andy Willcox of Proline Integrated Systems representing the home installation channel, and Chris Miller, leader of Professional Systems Network International (PSNI), representing the ProAV Channel. These top leaders will be giving their perspective on all the channels, not just their own. And, expert analyst Rosemary Abowd of Pacific Media Associates will provide her insights on the evolution of the channels. Speakers will cover:
- The battle between the channels for share
- The latest selling innovations
- How the industry can better serve the channels
Projection Summit also features panel discussions at the end of most sessions and we're expecting some lively discussions! At the end of the "Changing Channels" session, top industry analysts -- Rosemary Abowd of PMA, Steve Kovsky of Current Analysis, and Mike Fisher of Decision Tree Consulting -- will give us their perspectives on the presentations and other changes in the display channels. Steve Marsland, McLaughlin Consulting Group's dynamic Senior Partner, will moderate the session.
And this is just one of eight sessions at Projection Summit! To review the full agenda, go to www.projectionsummit.com.
